Nikita Danielle Thornton (Kiki, Kita) passed away on January 23, 2013. Nikita was born at Rose Medical Center and lived in Denver Colorado. She was fun and outgoing and the light in a room. She was a free spirit with a love for life. Nikita was not just an avid reader, she could read a novel in a day. She played soccer and was on competitive Real, Storm and Littleton teams. She received a varsity letter in soccer at Wentworth Military Academy and took Gymnastics at Dardano's and Dance at Cleo Parker Robinson. She enjoyed drama and performed in school theater. She won 1st place in Mutton Busting at the age of four. Nikita attended Regis Jesuit High, Wentworth Military Academy and East High School– Graduated Class of 2011. Services will be held at Fairmount Mortuary and Cemetery. 430 S. Quebec St. Denver, 80247. An optional viewing will be held on Tuesday January 29th from 12pm to 3pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Fairmount Mortuary Chapel, with burial at Fairmount Cemetery. There will be a reception following at Courtyard Marriott Hotel from 3pm to 7pm. 1475 S. Colorado Blvd Denver, Co 80222 .In lieu of flowers a 529 college fund is being set up for Nikita's daughter, Bryleigh Willow Thornton. If you wish to contribute, checks can be made payable to Bryleigh Willow Thornton, with "529 College fund" noted on the memo line.
