Sandra Kaye Hatsis

Sandra Kaye Hatsis, our loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away April 23, 2017 surrounded by her husband & daughter. Sandra was born January 6, 1943 in Adamsville, Tennessee to James Tal and Maudene (Comer) Elliott, one of two children. She married Nick Charles Hatsis on May 24,1974 in Houston, Texas. After residing in Texas and Utah for several years, Sandra and her family moved to Colorado in 1985, making it their home. Sandra was a member of St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church and spent 28 years working in the Cherry Creek School District (Meadow Point Elementary & Campus Middle School). Sandra loved and enjoyed spending time with her husband & daughter, whether it was time spent in their backyard, going on fishing trips or visiting a new place. She also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and enjoyed sewing, gardening and arts & crafts. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength, love for children & animals and dry sense of humor. Sandra is survived by her husband, Nick and her daughter, Sindi Kaye Lillis (Matt); brother, Paul Wayne Elliott (Dorothy); niece Tami Elliott; nephew Paul Keith Elliott and many family & friends. Trisagion prayer service and funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 5555 S. Yosemite Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Interment and reception at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 S. Quebec St. Denver, CO 80247. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Denver Dumb Friends League or Colorado Alzheimer’s Association.
