Ada Rose Valencia

AdaValencia, 77, of Durango, Colorado, died July 5, 2020 in Durango, Colorado, surrounded by her family. She was born June 26, 1943 in Kline, Colorado to Gates and Hazel Warner. She grew up in Kline and Marvel. Her family moved to Harrison Idaho during her first grade year and graduated from Harrison High School. She moved to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, in the late 1950's and began her family there. She excelled at the skills to make her house a warm home for her family. Ada moved back to Durango in the early 1980's where she met Lloyd Valencia. They were married in 1985. Ada is well known from her years working at the housewares department at Kroegers, and for years worked at Honeyville, both at the main location and the Christmas kiosks at the mall. She was a gifted gardener, quilter, loved to entertain guests and family and loved to travel. She enjoyed taking photos of her travels and interests, and she loved to dance. Most of all, Ada love Jesus, served at her church homes and lived a life worthy of his gift. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Lloyd; children: Lonnie Graybill, Darla Murphy, Gary Graybill, Michael Graybill, Jerry Valencia & Randy Valencia; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her Honeyville family and many extended family & friends. She was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren: Tyler, JJ & Jason. A service will be held at 10am on Mon. July 13, 2020 at Hood Mortuary Chapel, 1261 E. 3rd Ave., Durango, with burial to follow at Greenmount Cemetery.
