Bula Queen

Bula Doris Queen, 99, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Good Samaritan Society- Four Corners Village in Aztec, New Mexico. Mrs. Queen was born May 12, 1914 in Headrick, Oklahoma, the daughter of Howard and Jessie Chapman. Doris' family moved from Oklahoma to New Mexico in 1928. It was while in New Mexico that she met her husband, Bryan B. Queen. The couple were married and raised three children. In the mid 1900’s, she moved with her family to Durango. She remained in Durango until the passing of her husband in 2003. Her children describe her as a loving and kind wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Queen is preceded in death by her husband, Bryan B. Queen, and her daughter Selma Yeager. She is survived by her children Bryan Lee Queen of Durango, Weldon Queen (Judy) of Aztec, NM., and numerous grandchildren.
