Carol Ann Blackmon, 55, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at home in Bayfield, Colorado. Mrs. Blackmon was born September 05, 1959 in Elmhurst, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Petterson) Yanke. She moved to Minnesota for 13 years. Carol met Monty Blackmon through the internet and they began a relationship in 1999. He moved to Minnesota to strengthen their relationship and they were married on July 7, 2000. The couple moved to Colorado on June 28, 2001. She is survived by her husband Monty, 2 sons: Daniel Blackmon, of Charlotte, N.C., and Chris Blackmon, of Durango, her mother, Dorothy, brother, Rick, a nephew, Adam who lives in Florida and a niece, Jennifer.
