Inez Quintana died Tues., Feb. 3, 2015, surrounded by family, at her home in Ignacio, CO. She was 83. Inez was born on Jan. 21, 1932, in La Fragua, NM, the daughter of Amarante and Carlotta Quintana. She married Juan Andres on Oct. 29, 1949 in Rosa, NM, where they made their first home. She was known to work alongside her husband and father on the family farm. In the late 60’s, she co-owned a leather shop in Ignacio. In the 70’s, she became the owner of El Amigo Café, until she retired in 1992. She was an active member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, going to the local casino, and embroidering. She was preceded in death by; her son Nicky and her husband Juan. She is survived by: sons; Perfecto (Twila) and Juan (Dorothy); daughters; Julie, Marcella (Ruben) and Charlotte; grandchildren; Monica, Eric, Gloriemae, Andrea, Deann, Rebekah, Simonah, Jessie, Christina, Amy, Tamara and Ryan; great grandchildren; Jasmine, Devin, Madeline, Meleigh, Dylan, Jacob, Naya, Nicholas, Christopher, Michael, Adriano and Kahlia. A recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at 7 pm, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Ignacio. Christian Mass of Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 7th at 2pm, also at St. Ignatius. Burial will occur at Rosa Cemetery in Arboles, followed by a dinner at St. Ignatius Parish Hall.
