Linda Sothras

Linda K. Sothras, 58, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colorado. Ms. Sothras was born August 9, 1955 in California the daughter of John and Beatrice. Linda grew up and attended schools in California. She and her family wanted to live in a beautiful place and so they moved to Southwestern Colorado in 1997. Linda previously worked as a bookkeeper for Neil’s Excavation as well as Madison Trucking. She enjoyed crocheting, Christmas time and spending time with her grandchildren--especially when they were all at the lake. Linda liked to ride motorcycles and going to area dirt bike races. She was very fond of animals and had a favorite Pekinese named, Honey. She is survived by Joe Roberts (son) of Ignacio, CO, Gigi Roberts (daughter) of California, grandchildren; Madison & Jacob Roberts of Ignacio, CO acnd Cruze Roberts of California, Greg Sothras (brother) of Farmington, NM, Debbie Fergeson (sister-in-law) of Pagosa Springs, CO, and her loving dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango. Services are planned for Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the church formally known as Frontier Baptist Church, that is located next to the Florida Cemetery at the intersection of County Road 225 and County Road 228, Durango. Pastor Peter Reitz will officiate.
