Lynn Marie Gherardini, 65, passed away on March 10th, 2016. Lynn was born in Albuquerque, NM, in 1951 and was a resident of Bayfield, CO, from 1981 until the time of her death. She was known by many in the community as a long-term employee of Wal-Mart in Durango and her family is sure that her presence there will be missed by co-workers and customers alike. Lynn’s greatest legacy is that of a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She had the kindest of hearts, was a cherished friend to many and will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Elaine Dain, and her sister, Patricia Garcia. She is survived by a sister, Franki Hart, and a brother, Jack Dain, both of Rio Rancho, NM; three daughters, Jolynn (& Bryan) Welker of Ignacio, CO, Lisa Kolz of Bayfield, CO, and Jodi (& Keith) Gherardini-Welker, of Edgewood, NM; eight grandchildren, Joseph (& Lindsey) Welker of Clarksville, TN, Jordan (& Rusty) Miller of Ignacio, CO, Jacob Jung & Sandy Gherardini of Bayfield, CO, Adrian Jung & Derek Jung of Aztec, NM, Irene Welker and Elaine Welker (on the way) of Edgewood, NM; one great-grandchild, Kaine Jung, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Ignacio Community Church, 115 Ute Street, Ignacio, CO, on Saturday, March 19th, 2016, at 4:00pm.
