Marshall Whitfield is an unforgettable guy who always made us laugh and was probably wiser than we can ever imagine. He taught us to live in pure joy and without fear no matter the storms, to live without fear, and to conquer the struggle no matter the hardship. A man with 39 years of sobriety, he showed many the way to their own higher power. Marshall loved his schools, Blair Academy Prep School in NJ and St. Lawrence University in NY. A stockbroker in NY, real estate broker and appraiser in NJ, his greatest love was bicycle racing where he enjoyed coaching young riders. We journeyed together to his death on June 17 and in the morning we both had new life. I am privileged he chose me to be his soft place to fall. He leaves 2 children, a grandson, 5 steps, and me, Susan, to carry on his sparkle and laughter.
