Virginia Ann Sage passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, in Durango, surrounded by family. She was 71 years old. Virginia was born April 17, 1946, to Adonais Garcia and Lula Sage in Ignacio. She enjoyed traveling with the Tribal Elders to Tribal events. She is survived by her siblings: Howard Richards Sr., DeWitte Baker, and Glenda Richards; Aunt: Josephine Olguin; Uncles: Richard and Benny Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: William Richards, Sr., Dewayne Baker, and Arlene Baker. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 19, at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Ignatius. Burial will follow at Ignacio West Cemetery.
