Frank Moore Obituary

He is preceded by his father and Grandparents. He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Linda Moore. Mother and stepfather Georgia and Truman Hall. Daughter, Cassie. Son, Nicholas. Sister, Juanita. Niece, Debbie. 3 Grandchildren, 3 great-nephews, and 1 great niece. Also surviving are his in laws Jack and Jane Gill and a sister in law and her husband, many cousins and friends, including his best friend of 43 years Wayne Corbin. Frank has always been a very hardworking person. At a young age he delivered the newspaper for the Greeley Tribune. He went on to work at Kodak in Windsor where he earned many awards for his high production skills. He took pride in his work as a master carpenter. He met Bart Peterson when he was 18 years old and they worked together 30 years. Together they built hundreds of homes in Northern Colorado. He was excellent at doing hand cut roofs and custom stairs. He liked to sign his name under the stairs he built. He also worked for Harry Thompson at Thompson Garage Doors. Harry has been a great support for Linda and Frank during his illness. Frank always loved Peterbilt trucks. Following in his father’s footsteps, he earned his commercial driving license and enjoyed working in that profession for several years. Franks passion was Mopar muscle cars. His first one was a 1974 Duster “Nadine”. Next a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner “Ghostrider” and most recently a 1972 Twister Duster “Georgia Ann”. With the help of his friends Bill and Scott Hagan “Ghostrider” has been completely restored. Chad Proctor and Jeff Thompson restored “Georgia Ann”. Frank and Linda felt very loved and supported by these close friends as it meant so much to Frank to see these cars restored to their original glory. Linda thanks you on their behalf for these amazing gifts. Frank loved the out of doors. That love was started as a boy when he spent his summers in upstate New York at his Uncles farm. He enjoyed working in the fields and baling hay and riding tractors with his many cousins. Throughout his life, Frank spent summers enjoying family property at Crystal Lakes. He enjoyed riding endless miles on the trails on his dirt bikes, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, and hiking. We all remember those giant bonfires that he built with all the wood he cleared and chopped! He also loved his Kawasaki motorcycles and owned many over the years. He was an excellent rider and had many memorable trips to Sturgis with friends. All who knew Frank remember him always being accompanied by his dogs Astro I and then Astro II, devoted and loyal Dobermans. Frank loved his family and had many happy memories of sitting at the kitchen table in his childhood home enjoying his mother’s delicious home cooked meals. Frank was loyal husband to Linda. He helped her build several successful businesses and create a beautiful home. He was very generous with his talents and always helpful to others in need. He was a strong, handsome and passionate husband to Linda. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He fought a courageous battle with ALS this last few years and was an inspiration in strength fighting this insidious disease. He was a proud man to the end. “Go rest high on that Mountain Son, your work on Earth is done”. Open the throttle wide Frank, there are no speed limits in Heaven! Life Celebration service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at the Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
