Fred Wilson Obituary

Fred Andrew Wilson, 72, 0f Greeley, CO passed away October 10, 2017 at Swedish Medical Center. He was born February 6, 1945 in Salina, KS to Andrew J. and Dorothy (Pew) Wilson. Fred grew up in Wilsey and Wichita, KS and graduated from high school in Wichita in 1963. On November 20, 1964 he was united in marriage to Bobbie Faye Jimerson in Wichita. Fred enlisted in the Navy on July 1, 1966. He served aboard the U.S.S. Holland in Rota, Spain. After being honorably discharged they moved to Greeley in 1970. Fred worked as an electrician for Kodak retiring in 2004 after 34 years. He then worked for five years in the maintenance department of Holiday Inn. Fred enjoyed woodworking, reading, jigsaw puzzles and working at the church. He treasured time spent with his grandkids, who affectionately called him “Pa”. He was a member of Mountain View Evangelical Free church where he served as an usher. Fred is survived by his wife Bobbie of Greeley; daughters, Michelle (Greg) Jensen of Greeley, and Lisa (Jason) Shutters of Windsor; three granddaughters, Chloe Nicole Shutters, Channing Reneé Shutters and Jillian Valentina Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Adamson. Life Celebration Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at Mountain View Evangelical Free Church, 6253 W. 28th Street. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at the church. Memorial gifts may be made to “Mountain View Evangelical Free Church” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
