Genoveva Pena

Genoveva Pena, 69, of Evans passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017. Genoveva was born in Medina County, Texas on August 11, 1948 to Ramon and Clara Carrasco. She attended schools in Hondo, Texas. On June 30, 1966 she married Juan A. Pena Barron in Hondo, Texas where they began their family. In 1978 they moved to Colorado where they raised their seven children. She attended Aims Community college where she graduated in 1985. Genoveva enjoyed reading, listening to music and the outdoors. She highly valued her husband & family and devoted her time to them. Genoveva is survived by her husband of 52 years, Juan A. Pena Barron; her children, Juan A. Pena Jr., Alma D. Pena, Manuela Pena, Rachel Pena, Gabriel Pena (Maria Pena), Esmeralda Villegas (Angel J. Villegas), Marivelle C. Pena, all of Greeley and Tonien Pena (Rosario Rodriguez Pena) of Mexico; siblings, Raymond Carrasco of Texas, Margie Carrasco of Greeley, Theresa Duplises of Texas, Pete Carrasco Sr. of Texas, Frances Oranday of Texas, Maria J. Carrasco of Texas, Rifle Carrasco of Texas, Aurelia Carrasco of Texas, Roberto Carrasco of Texas; grandchildren, Juan A. Pena III, Rosario M. Pena, Tanisha R. Miller, Christopher J. Pena, Elias M. Gallegos, TyJae A. Pena, Alberto I. Villegas, Tiana M. Miller, Cristian Pena, Brianna Y. Villegas, Danielle C. Pena, Zaurinique Aguilar Pena, Amarivelle M. Pena, Genoveva M. Pena, Grace M. Williams; and great grandchildren, M'Kayla A. Pena, J'Vontae L. Miller (Julio), Alexis Martinez, Elias M. Gallegos Jr., Da'Mario L. Pena. She was preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Clara Carrasco; two brothers Joe Carrasco and Jesse Carrasco; 4 grandchildren, Mikayla D. Pena, Mark A. Pena, Angel Rey David Villegas and Pedro J. Villegas; and niece Anastacia N. Aguirre. Visitation will be 5- 7 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017, immediately followed by a Rosary at 7pm both at Adamson. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley, CO 80631. Interment will follow at Evans Cemetery.
