Marie Louise Aragon passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 after a long fight with N.A.S.H. She was born in Greeley to Gilbert and Martina (Quintana) Arizmendi and grew up in Milliken where she attended school and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1971. In 1972, she met her husband, Jim and they married in March 1973, celebrating 44 years. They were blessed with three children; James, Yvonne and Diego. Marie’s life centered around her family. She would do anything to help any of them when they needed it. When her first granddaughter, Baylie, was born she quit her job to stay home as a grandma and care for her grandchildren. Marie and Baylie had a very special bond, one that will remain in Baylie’s heart for life. She loved to play bingo, crossword puzzles, going out to eat and then shopping at Wal-Mart. Survivors include her husband, Jim; children, James (Liz), Yvonne and Diego; grandchildren, Baylie and Brady; parents, Gilbert and Martina Arizmendi; siblings, Ezzie (Dave) Bejarano, Terri Dunkin, Sylvia (Eric) Clapham, Gloria Reyna, Gilbert (Diane) Arizmendi and Robert (Andi) Arizmendi as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her grandson, Gabriel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Adamson Chapel. Life Celebration Service10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Community Church, Johnstown with inurnment to follow at the Johnstown Cemetery. A reception will follow at Grace Church.
