Margaret Mary "Peggy" Mahoney, passed away on January 29th, 2019 having lost her battle with breast cancer. She will be missed by her mother, Marge Mahoney; siblings Don (Karen) Mahoney, Mike (Mary Pat) Mahoney, Susan (Hugo) Dale, Julie Mahoney (Rainer Grote), 11 nieces/nephews, 2 great nephews and many friends. Born & raised in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Peggy graduated from ASU in Tempe, AZ and moved to Colorado in 1990. In her short 51 years, Peggy lived a full life. Her purpose was to have fun in whatever she did - skiing in Winter Park, camping in the mountains, cycling in Moab, hosting epic Halloween parties or bringing family and friends together around a meal. Peggy was a passionate, fun, strong willed, adventurous, spontaneous woman who's smile and laughter will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Project Angel Heart, 4Ocean or Max Fund charities. A memorial service will be held for Peggy on Monday February 11th @ Aspen Mortuaries, Lakewood @ 11 am. Receptions will be held afterwards at the homes of Julie Mahoney and Gina Hardin.
