Michelle Foxhoven O'Connell Lakewood, Colorado Obituary

Michelle Foxhoven O'Connell

Michelle O’Connell, 51, Denver, passed while sleeping at home in the early morning of July 13th. She was born April 24, 1969 in Sioux City, Iowa to Victoria Foxhoven and adoptive father Ronald O’Connell who preceded her in death in February of 2018. She was raised in Arvada Colorado with her sister Charity O’Connell and brother Sean O’Connell. Michelle worked on “the hill” in Blackhawk Colorado as a cocktail waitress. Michelle loved to love on people. She was generous and thoughtful of others often showing appreciation with cards and thoughtful gestures. She reached out to touch your hand, arm, shoulder when she spoke connecting with people she had known all of her life or only a few minutes just the same. Often people have spoken of her smile and how she could light up any room she entered. She never met a stranger and kept her friends over several decades. Known for her decorative Easter baskets, beautifully wrapped presents and fun Halloween costumes, she loved the holidays and celebrating with friends and family. It was not a party until she arrived. Michelle would drive to several Winchell’s for a chocolate on chocolate donut when we were teenagers. Liked Taco Bell bean burritos with extra sauce. Might have been known to hit a car when stopped at a red light while getting the hot fudge from a Sundae. (she was super excited) Claimed she could wash dishes better if her eyes could see better and might have had more then her fair share of driving stories that left you wondering how she passed the test. Kept her things in immaculate condition and might have stopped inviting that one friend over if they sat in the same spot on the couch each time. If that was you, yes that is why. Survived by her mother Victoria O’Connell, Jim Saylor, siblings Scott Johnson (Carolyn Johnson), Charity O’Connell (John Borich), Sean O’Connell, Jesse Shannon, Sasha Saylor (Tony Franklin), Xius Saylor. Nephews (Dylan Franklin), Cody Johnson, Bryce Borich and loving soulmate Dylan Davis. Memorial will be held at Aspen Mortuary on Friday, July 24th at 1PM for immediate family. Everyone is welcome to join the memorial as services will be streamed via Zoom.
