Patty Jean Hall

Patty Jean Hall-78 Patty “Pat” Hall a long time Fort Morgan resident and wife of James “Jim” Hall passed away suddenly Tuesday evening January 22, 2019 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, CO. Pat was born September 19, 1940, in Denver, Colorado to parents Louis James Hallada and Esther Elizabeth Baxter. Pat attended schools in the Denver schools graduating from Denver West High School in 1959. Pat married James Wallace Hall on November 4, 1960, in Denver and they were together for 58 years prior to her passing. Pat started her first career as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell right after graduating High School, a career that she would continue after moving to Fort Morgan in 1962, until Mountain Bell closed their operations there. Pat then started her second career as a dispatcher with Morgan County REA, serving the residents of Morgan County. It was there that Pat worked until her retirement putting in another 25 years of service. Along the way she made many wonderful friends whom she enjoyed greatly. If there was one thing that Pat loved more than anything else it was her family. She was loving encourager and loyal supporter of her children and a great confidant. In the past years she was always there for her grandchildren whether it was listening on the phone for lengthy periods or providing grandmotherly opinions about life in general. Nothing was more important to her than her grandkids. Summer afternoons were spent watching the kids play in the backyard swimming pool, (which there are stories) or jumping on the trampoline for hours. Then came the great grandkids which made the sparkle in her eyes even brighter. Pat is survived by her husband Jim, and children Steve (Paula)Hall-Aurora, CO, Lora Grippin (Don Gentry), Fort Morgan and Vickie (Tom) Lambert, Sterling, CO,. 14 Grandchildren: Kenneth Hall, Kalen Hall, Keelie (Gus) Krause, and Kelvin Hall. Wyatt (Samantha) Grippin, Shane (Summer) Grippin and Aaron Grippin. Jared (Karrie) Lambert, and Kyle (Rikki) Lambert. Pat also is survived by 11 Great grandchildren: Kyleigh, Kane, Macie, Lillie, Cash, Ashlynn, Rhylee, Jace, Luke, Bentley and Payton. Pat also found out at Christmas that number 12 would be arriving in July of 2019. Pat is also survived by her brothers: Harvey “Sonny” Hallada, Louis J. “Butch” Hallada, Walter Hallada, Dan Hallada and Danny Lee Hallada. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Janice “Jay” Harmon. A “Celebration of Life Service” will be held with a reception immediately following on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm, at the Morgan County REA, (Old Facility) 20169 US Hwy 34, Fort Morgan, CO
