Randy was born on November 5, 1960 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was the youngest of the five children of Charlotte (Charlie) and Gary Goings. His older brothers, Bill, Ron and Jerry and older sister Cheryl were his fiercest protectors and his most challenging competitors all at the same time. The family moved to Denver and then Lakewood when Randy was in first grade. Randy graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1979. After working in various jobs over the years, Randy settled into sales. He worked most of his years at two great companies, Turf Irrigation Supply and Envirotech Services. He retired from Envirotech in November. Randy met his wife Amy while growing up in Green Mountain. Eventually, they began dating and married in August of 1989. They quickly had three children, Sarah, Dalton, and Katie. They raised their family in Arvada. Randy’s interests were nearly all sports related or spending time in the beauty of Colorado. He loved coaching and working with young people. He spent time coaching each of his children, and working with the Job’s Daughters in Golden. He most recently coached a baseball team, the Thunder Storm for several years. Randy is survived by his wife Amy Figler Goings, daughter Sarah Goings, son Dalton Goings and his wife Kasaundra, daughter Katherine Parker and her husband Justin and granddaughter Arnolda Parker. Also survived by brother Bill Goings (Denise), Ron Goings (Mary), and Jerry Goings (Tana) and numerous nieces and nephews. Randy was pre-deceased by his father Gary Goings, his mother Charlotte Brancon and his sister Cheryl Roberts. Services will be Monday, January 6, 2020 at Mile Hi Church of Religious Science, 9077 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, CO at 1:30pm. Reception to follow at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center at 4005 Kipling St., Wheat Ridge, CO at 3:30pm.
