Scott Keller Obituary

Scott was raised in Arvada, Co. His family farmed for a living. He, along with his two brothers, pulled a cart through the neighborhood selling vegetables. Scott worked hard all his life. He was a "Jack of all trades" and master of every one of them. He was a self taught very accomplished guitar player. He was in a rock and roll band in the 60's and 70's. They played gigs in Central City, Morrison and Empire Co. Scott loved racing and he raced his GTO at Bandemere Speedway in Golden, Colorado. But his real passion was working on VW's and restoring Karmann Ghia's. Scott pursued a trade in mechanics working his way up to heavy equipment mechanic. He was very intelligent and had a thirst for knowledge, retaining everything he learned. He was also very creative, especially in music and wood working. Scott also had business skills managing a Red Barn Steakhouse when he was 17 years old and starting a landscaping business in the 80's. Scott and his dad built a garage. He remodeled his parents bathroom and he built a shed for his father in law in addition to a kitchen for his mother in law and much more. Scott had a tool for any project imaginable and could fix anything. He roofed an entire house at the age of 57. Everything Scott accomplished was done with perseverance and amazing patience. His goal was always perfection.. He was a man of integrity. He loved Jesus. He would sit for hours praying and communing with God. His two daughters, Shannon and Monique were his pride and joy. And he loved his family dearly. Scott was a man of few words. He was sensitive, loved deeply, humble, always putting others first. Scott Keller was an amazing person. He will be greatly missed by all. Scott is survived by his wife Kelly Keller, daughter Shannon Van Duren, brothers Nicholas Michael Keller and Chris Keller and sister Mary Ann Keller. He was preceded in death by daughter Monique Keller and his parents Nick Keller, Jr and Emily Ann Keller. A Celebration of Scott's life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Morse Park, 8180 W. 20th Avenue in Lakewood, Colorado.
