Sue Ann Leprino “Sue Ann” age 69, passed away at home Wheat Ridge, Colorado. In the comfort of her family Saturday, March 2, 2019. Born November 09, 1949 at Fitzsimons Hospital in Aurora, Colorado to Lou and Nyla (Bryant) Leprino, younger sister Debbie that preceded before her. In 1997 Sue Ann and Larry Lyman would meet and later Married on Saint Patrick’s Day. She attended Mount Carmel School until 4th grade, Slader Grade School, Lakewood Jr. High School, and Wheat Ridge High School. As a native to Colorado she spent most of her years in North Denver were her love of animals grew, whether Sue was bringing home animals or in Norton, Kansas with her grandparents where she learned farming. Her passion for her horses Major, Apple Louie, and her favorite Bobbie Socks drew her to study horsemenship from 1963-1969 with Westernaires. It became Sue’s second nature to maneuver her horse trailers and truck. She went from Lancer to Lead of Red Team, and carried the Colorado flag with the color guard, and continued to shows with Westernaires. Sue’s love of road trips started with her Father as the Vice President of Leprino transportation they would visit many states. She worked with Leprino’s transportation until sold in 2002. She then stayed home to care for her Mother. Some of her later trips would take her to Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico. Survived by husband Larry, Daughter Shawna, Son Jeffrey, Step Daughter Laura, Step Son Brian, Granddaughter’s Ashlyn and Savannah, Grandsons Chase, Ethan, and Ryan, and two great granddaughters. Family, friends, and others whose lives Sue touched are invited to the Celebration of her life at Our Lady of Mount Carmel 3549 Navajo St. Denver, Co 80211. April 11, 2019 @ 11:00 a.m. directly followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Sue’s name to Our Lady of Mount Carmel or Westernaires in Golden. Let us come together at this time of Great Loss to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. A private interment will be held at Fort Logan.
