Bill Kong Lee, 90, passed away January 29, 2019 at Life Care Center of Longmont. He was born June 25, 1928 in China. Bill entered into the Republic of China Armed Forces and there earned his college education as a pharmacist earning his pharmacy degree from National Defense Medical Center, the highest ranking military medical school in China. Bill dedicated his career to managing the medical supplies for the VA hospitals. He spent 30 years as an officer and pharmacist, retiring in 1983 with the rank of Colonel. During his career he was part of the Nationalist Armed Forces that emigrated to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-shek in 1949 at the time of the Communist Revolution in China. Bill married Mabel Ho-Feng Hua in Taiwan on November 18, 1956. Bill and Mabel came to the United States and Colorado in 1983 to be near their family. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, and surfing the web looking for information on medicines, interventions and treatment for his diabetes. Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He joyfully shared in the care and nurture of his three children and seven grandchildren. His absence will be felt by all. Bill is survived by his wife Mabel; three children: Grace Beal and husband David, Kevin Lee and wife Jessica, and Jerry Lee and wife Debbie Ohman; and grandchildren: Alisa Beal and husband Lucas Lorenzo, Alex Beal and wife Angela Ely, Aaron Beal, Brendan Lee, Erica Lee, Isaac Lee and Kathryn Lee.
