Judy W. Miller, 72 of Berthoud, passed away January 29, 2019 in Longmont, CO. Judy was born August 16, 1946 in Louisville, KY to Paul and Edith (Kelley) Wurfel. She grew up in Louisville and obtained her nursing degree from Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital’s nursing school in April, 1967. In 1969, Judy married David Miller in Louisville, KY. During David’s time with the railroad, the two transferred to Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, Montgomery, Alabama, Perrysburg, Ohio and Rockingham, North Carolina before retiring to Oak Island outside Wilmington, North Carolina. In Montgomery, they had their only son, Paul. She spent nearly forty years working both as a surgical nurse and teaching nursing. Judy enjoyed traveling, especially the western United States. In 2016, her beloved husband David passed away. Afterwards, Judy moved to Berthoud, CO to be closer to her family. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, David. Judy is survived by her son, Paul Miller (Daniel Millsap) of Boulder, CO and one brother, David (Barbara) Wurfel of Trinidad, CO.
