The price of these selections also includes the funeral home’s care of the flowers after the funeral and the delivery to the family or facility of choice where they can be rearranged and enjoyed by others for a longer period.

Memorial Candles

A Perpetual Tribute

The solitude and quiet peace of a flickering candle has long been a symbol of remembrance. Each candle lit will remain lit within this memorial website for the period you select. Your thoughtful gesture will be captured both in the candle as well as listed in perpetuity within the tributes section.

Memorial Trees

Circle of Life

In today’s changing world with climate change and environment concerns, “Honoring a Life” allows for family and friends to plant a memorial tree in honor of their loved one and friend. The purchase of a tree creates a beautiful permanent record on the Honoring a Life website, Each tree is planted through the efforts of Forestry Services throughout North America who determine where the greatest needs for reforestation are. Once planted, the geographical location where the tree is planted will be added to the record. A beautiful card is also sent to the family signifying your thoughtful gesture.

Obituary for Charles Wagener

In Memory of Charles Wagener

Treasured husband, father, brother and friend, Charles "Chuck" John Wagener passed away June 13, 2017, unexpectedly from a medical condition.

He is survived by wife Sirena (Elliott) Wagener, daughter Lisa (Wagener) Almgren, son Chaseson Wagener, stepchildren Ethan, Aubrey and John, siblings Nancy (Wagener) Parker Brown, Anne (Wagener) French Bosch, Richard Wagener and Mary (Wagener) Buckley, and grandchildren Brock and Dane Almgren. Chuck joins parents Charles Vincent Wagener and Corine (Dahlin) Wagener in heaven.

Chuck was the leader of the pack, born August 7, 1952, as the oldest of five from Park Ridge, Ill. He led by example throughout his life, from marriage and fatherhood to long-lasting friendships and education.

Degrees from Western Illinois University, Loyola University and University of Rochester demonstrate his trailblazing spirit. After 12 years of higher education, Chuck went on to teach at Loyola and open a periodontal practice in both Rockford, Ill., and Greeley, Co. Gifts to family and friends often included a toothbrush with his name on it.

An avid outdoorsman, Chuck taught hunter safety and volunteered with Boy Scouts. Relocating to Colorado from Illinois was a welcome breath of mountain air for him and his family. When not at the office with his dental assistant wife, he could be found listening to blues, cracking jokes and making sure everyone was having a good time. A jack of all trades, his interests ranged from astronomy to zoology and everything in between.

With eyes so bright they could light up a room, Chuck will be remembered for his unrelenting passion, perseverence and companionship.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, June 18, at Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Wagener educational fund in care of Marks Funeral & Cremation Service, 9293 Eastman Park Dr., Windsor, CO 80550.
