Edward “Eddie” Rose Jr., age 85 of Bridgeport, CT., entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2018 at RegalCare in Southport, CT. Edward was born on May 10, 1932 in Port Chester, NY, the beloved son of late Edward Rose Sr. and Victoria (Tillman) Rose. Eddie was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. A veteran of the US Air Force, Eddie proudly served his country during the Korean war and was a member of the American Legion Post 140. Eddie was married to the love of his life, Verneda Rose, for 38 years before her passing in 1995. Eddie took pride in taking care of his family and played a big part in raising his grandson, Mike and granddaughter Leneda. Eddie loved sports, especially basketball. In addition to his wife, Eddie was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Rose. Edward is survived by: daughter, Lisa Marie Rose; grandson, Michael Rose & granddaughter-in-law, Talmisha Rose; granddaughter, Leneda Bartelle; great-granddaughter, Miah Sky Rose; and a host of extended family and friends who will honor his memory.
