Magdalena Morales, la viuda de Serafín Morales, de 85 años, entró a la presencia de nuestro Padre el día 4 de agosto del 2020 en el Hospital de Bridgeport, Connecticut.


El día 19 de junio de 1935, llegó al mundo una hermosa bebe llamada Magdalena Morales Guayanilla, Puerto Rico y fue recibida por sus amados padres Carmelo y Carmen Colon. Magdalena, también conocida como Malen, distribuyó su vida entre Puerto Rico y Bridgeport.


Malen se casó con Serafín Morales y entre los dos, tuvieron y criaron cuatro hermosos hijos. Ella dedicó su vida profesional a cuidar de sus hijos y de su esposo. Malen era una mujer tranquila que disfrutaba de las cosas simples de la vida. Le encantaba jugar Bingo y compartir tiempo con su familia.


Magdalena deja en vida a sus dos hijas Lydia Fontánez (Victor Fontánez) de Trumbull, CT, y Elizabeth Pizarro (Feliz Pizarro) de Bridgeport, CT.; a sus hermanas Nelsi Morales de Bridgeport, CT, Melba Colon, Carmen Colon y María del Carmen Colon todas de Puerto Rico; a su hermano Ricardo Colon de Puerto Rico; y a sus 12 nietos.


Magdalena acompaña en Muerte a sus padres Carmelo y Carmen Colón, a su esposo Serafín Morales y a sus dos hijos Serafín y Neftalí Morales.


Malen será recordada con mucho amor y cariño por toda su familia y sus amistades.

Magdalena Morales, age 85, the widow of Serafin Morales, entered the presence of God on August 4th, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital.


On June 19th, 1935, a beautiful baby girl was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico and was welcomed by her loving parents Carmelo and Carmen Colon. They named that baby girl Magdalena, also known as “Malen”, and she grew to marry Serafin Morales.


Malen divided her time between her hometown in Puerto Rico and Bridgeport. After marrying Serafin, they had four beautiful children and she dedicated her professional life to raising and caring for her family. Malen was a mellow and laid-back woman who took joy in the small delights of life. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family.


Magdalen is predeceased by her parents Carmelo and Carmen Colon, her husband Serafin Morales, and her two children Serafin Morales, Jr. and Neftali Morales.


Malen is survived by her daughters Lydia Fontanez (Victor Fontanez) of Trumbull, CT and Elizabeth Pizarro (Felix Pizarro) of Bridgeport, CT. She is also survived by her siblings Nelsi Morales of Bridgeport, Melba Colon, Carmen Colon, Maria del Carmen Colon, and Ricardo Colon, all of Puerto Rico. Additionally, Malen leaves behind 12 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her and cherish the memories of her deeply.
