<p>Wilfredo Martinez, age 54 of Bridgeport, widower of Liz Sandra Martinez, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 5, 2019.</p><p><br></p><p>Wilfredo was born April 19, 1965 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico; the beloved son of the late Miguel Martinez & Elisa Ruiz.</p><p><br></p><p>Wilfredo, or “Popi” as he was affectionately known, was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Popi was a funny, charming, and humble man. He loved cars and was an excellent mechanic. Popi was well known and liked in his community. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Popi will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing him. </p><p>In addition to his wife and father, Wilfredo was predeceased by three siblings: Jose Martinez; Luis Martinez; and Luz Martinez.</p><p><br></p><p>Wilfredo is survived by his: daughter, Nalin Martinez & son-in-law Enrique Santana of Ansonia; daughter, Emelitza Martinez of Bridgeport; brother, Miguel Martinez Jr.; sister, Carmen Martinez Ruiz; sister, Lydia Martinez; four grandchildren, Celenia, Lizsandra, Tenell, Zoe; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. </p><p><br></p><p>Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. 06604 Tel: 203-334-9999.
