George W. Polinski, 53, of Manchester CT passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2019. Born in Manchester CT, he was the son of Walter and Ruth Polinski of East Hartford CT. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving companion of many years, Shirley Babiec, of Manchester CT and her two children, Chris and Melissa; his brother, Daniel Polinski and his wife Wanda of Coventry CT; his sister, Linda Dulude and her husband Patrick of Tolland CT; two nephews and two nieces, Adam Polinski, Emma Polinski, Hannah Polinski, and Nicholas Dulude; a great niece, Apolonia P. Polinski; along with his Aunt, Martha Hester, of PA and several cousins. George graduated from Howell Cheney Technical High School in the Tool, Die and Machine field. He earned his Associates of Science Degree from Thames Valley State Technical College in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies. His various work experience in the machining field led him to his current employer, Projects Inc., of Glastonbury CT, as a Quality Inspector. George loved traveling, hiking, biking, ice skating, motorcycling and sports. He was a Hartford Wolfpack season ticket holder, who also enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins and Nascar racing. Relatives and friends may join the family on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 4 – 7 pm at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Coventry CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 1600 Main Street, Coventry CT. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Coventry CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
