Adam Blickarz

Adam L. Blickarz, Suffield, entered into eternal life at the age of 81 on Saturday (3/20/10) at his home in Suffield. Adam was the beloved husband of Rose M. (D’Amato) Blickarz and son of the late Henry and Margaret (Czachor) Blicharz. He was born on November 18, 1928 in Rutland VT and had resided in Suffield for the past 47 years. Adam served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Prior to retiring in 1990 Adam was employed as a foreman with the former Della Construction and later by Roncari Industries. In his leisure time he bowled at Shaker Bowl for 15 years, enjoyed doing yard work & gardening, ice & deep sea fishing, along with deer & turkey hunting. Adam was a member of St. Adalbert’s Church, Enfield and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Besides his beloved wife Rose of 47 years he is survived by his three loving daughters: Clementina Choltas and husband Wes of Ellington, Margaret McClellan and husband Donny of Tolland, MA and Cathleen White and husband Matthew of Windsor Locks, his two beloved grandchildren: Nicole & Daniel McClellan. He is also survived by two brothers: Henry Blicharz of VA and Valentine Blicharz of Rutland, VT, two sisters: Sister Margaret Henry and Dorothy Blicharz both of Rutland, VT along with many nieces and nephews. Adam was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Wednesday (3/24/10) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (3/25/10) with the funeral procession forming at 10:00 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to St. Adalbert’s Church, Enfield for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow with military honors in Old St. Patrick’s Cemetery Thompsonville. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Adalbert’s Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield, CT 06082.
