Adele Marie (Wachta) Gaudette, 95, of Enfield, CT entered into eternal life on Sunday (Jan. 10, 2010) at St. Joseph's Residence, Enfield. Adele was born in Palmer, MA March 27, 1914, the daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Rzatkos) Wachta and beloved wife of 66 years to the late Arthur J. Gaudette. She had resided in Bondsville, MA for over 45 years, Farmington, NM 25 years and a short time in Enfield, CT. Adele was a housekeeper, factory worker having worked for Ware Shoe and Bondsville Duck Company, caterer, cake decorator, school cook, she was an active parishioner and CCD teacher at St. Adalbert's in Bondsville and a craft maker. Adele was a 50+ year supporter of the Felician Sisters, a woman of deep faith & prayer, talented, giving and generous in many ways. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary. A dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother her life revolved around her family leaving many fond memories for them to cherish. She is survived by her children, Paul Gaudette & wife Gladys of Farmington, NM, Sr. Janice Marie Gaudette of Enfield, CT, Carol Ann Les of Palmer, MA, Donald Gaudette of Ocala, FL and Diane Laforest of Ware, MA, nine beloved grandchildren; Brian Gaudette of NV, Darla Platt of TX, Ronald Gaudette of NM, Todd Les of MA, Darryl Les of MA, David Laforest of MA, Jason, Jeremy Gaudette and Sonya Winslow all of FL and ten loving great-grandchildren; Evan Gaudette, Rylee Gaudette, Benjamin and Noah Les, Daemeon Laforest, Lily Angelina Laforest and Kenelm Winslow, her siblings, Caroline Skawski of AZ, Helen Pisarczyk of MA, Stanley Wachta of MA, Stasia Hall of MA, Walter Wachta of SC & Theodore Wachta of MA, along with many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son, Mark and her siblings, Julie Hayes, Anne Nocrasz, Lena Socha and Tony Wachta. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday (Jan. 13, 10) from 1 to 4 p.m. at St. Joseph's Residence 1365 Enfield St. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs (Jan. 14, 10) at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Chapel. Burial will be held in St. Peter's & St. Paul's Cemetery Bondsville, MA at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Felician Sisters 1315 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082 or St. Joseph Residence - Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
