Alice Boulay

Alice T. (Rodrigue) Boulay, 83, of Enfield, passed away on Sunday (March 13, 2011) surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of 38 years to the late Lawrence Boulay, Sr. and daughter of the late Leo and Melina (Pomerleau) Rodrigue. Alice was born on Nov. 25, 1927 in Lewiston, Maine and had resided in Enfield since 1953. She worked in the weaving mills in ME & CT however, her main focus in life was caring for her home and family. She was a classy lady full of the love for life and style, having had a passion for music she loved to play her guitar and sing with her two sisters in the Rodrigue Sisters Band. She is survived by her five children; Joan Shaw of New Britain, Donald Boulay of Springfield, MA, Ronald Boulay of N. Windham, Lawrence Boulay, Jr of Somersville and Lori Ann LeMere of Ansonia, her eleven beloved grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, her sister Juliette Corriveau of New Britain, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her pet (dog) “Ollie”. She was predeceased by a grandson Frederick J. “Shorty” Shaw, III, a sister Doris Pelletier and nephew Lawrence Pelletier. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (March 17, 2011) at 11:30 am in St. Martha Church Burial will be private in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St .Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT 06082 for Masses in Alice’s name. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Blair Manor nursing home for their kindness and compassion.
