Andrew Hunter

Andrew Smail Hunter, 84 of Enfield, passed from this life on Wednesday May 16, 2007 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Andrew was the beloved husband of 41 years to the late Williamina (McDonagh) Hunter. He was born on March 2, 1923 in Greenock, Scotland a son of the late Thomas C. and Helen (Somerville) Hunter and had resided in Enfield for the past 55 years. Andrew served with the British Royal Navy during WWII. Prior to his retirement in 1998 he was employed by Jagenburg in Enfield for many years. Andrew is survived by his eight children; Morven Hunter Boyce & husband, Gerard of Medway, MA; Ian Hunter & wife, Leslie of Seal Beach, CA; Andrew Hunter & wife, Vicki of Cortland, OH; Thomas Hunter of Enfield; Meredith Hunter-Dougherty & husband, Bob of ON, Canada; Eroca Hunter of BC, Canada; Calen Hunter & wife, Aerowenn of CA and Leagh Hunter of BC, Canada. His 13 beloved grandchildren; Lauren & Ian Boyce of Medway, MA, Andrew, Ethan & Evan Hunter of Cortland, OH, Erin & Daniel Dougherty of Canada, Alexi & Myra Hunter of Canada, Drew, Attar & Ceridwen Hunter of CA and Samaya McMartin of Canada, He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Hunter and a sister, May Hunter. A Memorial Service for Andrew will be held on Monday evening May 21, 2007 at 8:00pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. His family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
