Annette Bernier

Annette T. Bernier 87, of the Hazardville section of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Malcolm J. Bernier, entered peacefully into eternal rest on March 8th 2014 surrounded by loved ones at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare. Annette was born October 12th 1926 to the late Gilbert N. Vasseur and Antonia (Fiset) Vasseur Gallant. She was a lifelong resident of Hazardville and a communicant of St. Bernard Church. Annette attended schools in Enfield and was a graduate of Enfield High School. She had worked at Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, and met her future husband car pooling to work. Annette loved spending time with her family and had fond memories of vacations in Bermuda, Florida, and the time they spent in Virginia Beach. Annette loved spending time with her two grandchildren Brittany and Nicholas. Annette is survived by her two loving children, Gary Bernier of Enfield and Kenneth Bernier and his wife, Joanne of East Longmeadow, MA; her grandchildren, Brittany Bernier of Agawam MA, and Nicholas Bernier of East Longmeadow, MA, a sister Mary Lou Wight of Enfield and her sister in law and brother-in law, Jack and Margaret Thomas of FL. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She was predeceased by a brother Gil Vasseur and step-father Allire J. Gallant. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 13, 2014 beginning at 8:45 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082 for a procession to St. Bernard Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations in Annette’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. CT Chapter 2075 Silas Dean Hwy. Ste. 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
