Anthony Rossello Obituary

Anthony F. Rossello, of Suffield, CT and North Hutchinson Island, FL died on Saturday (October 30, 2010) in Suffield. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to the late Odelia “Dee” (St. John) Rossello. He was born on March 2, 1931 in Barcelona, Province of Messina, Sicily son of the late Vincenzo & Rose (Grasso) Rossello. Anthony served his country honorably as a paratrooper with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from Aug. 27, 1951 until his honorable discharge on Aug. 3, 1953. He retired from Hamilton Standard after many years of service. He is survived by his devoted and loving daughter Linda and her husband William Fusick, his two grandsons Christopher and Michael whom he loved dearly and his sister Maria Rohdenburg, along with many nieces and nephews, a very special friend Nick and his “other” daughter Felicia. He was also predeceased by a grandson James whom he also loved dearly and a brother Sam. Special thanks to the Oncology Nurses at Manchester Memorial Hospital, St. Francis Hospital Staff and Masonicare Hospice Nurses who guided him through this journey. Funeral services for Anthony will be held on Tuesday November 2, 2010 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Enfield followed by interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield.
