Barbara E. (Burkhart) Buchalski, entered into eternal life at the age of 55 on Saturday Oct. 12, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was the beloved wife of 31 years to Thomas B. Buchalski. She was born on May 19, 1958 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Laurence A. and Marie T. (Huhn) Burkhart and had resided in Enfield for the past 27 years. She is survived by her loving husband and by her two beloved children; Brian Buchalski and Brianna Buchalski both of Enfield, a sister; Laurie A. Marvel & husband David of Holyoke, MA, a brother; Richard F. Burkhart & wife Sandy of W. Springfield, MA and a sister; Cheryl M. Holben & husband Jim of Springfield, MA., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Barbara’s Oncology Team at the D’Amour Cancer Center and for the exceptional care given to her by the Nurses and PCT’s in the Springfield Oncology Unit at Baystate Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Oct. 16, 2013) with a visitation period from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. in St. Patrick Church, Enfield. Burial will take place following the Mass in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery in Enfield.
