Barbara A. Allen, RN, 59, of Somers, entered into eternal rest on Thursday (June 5, 2014) in the comfort of her home. She was born on Sept. 8, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Mildred (Manion) Allen and the late Harold S. Allen. Barbara’s love to care for others was the reason she went into nursing and as a result she was an RN for 30 years. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her grand-dog, Adele (golden retriever). Besides her mother, Barbara is survived by her loving son, Matthew R. Ramsey of Enfield, grand-dog, Adele, her siblings, William Allen of Brimfield, MA, Timothy Allen of Monson, MA, Thomas Allen of Marlboro, MA and John Allen of Pompano Beach, FL, along with many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Barbara on Saturday (June 14, 2014) at 11:00 a.m. in All Saints Church, Somersville, CT. Committal will be in Wales Cemetery #4 in Wales, MA.
