Benny J. Scicolone, 78, of Enfield, beloved husband of Maria (Fontana) Scicolone for 46 years, entered into eternal peace Wednesday (August 20, 2008) at Baystate Medical Center Springfield, MA. Born July 18, 1930 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Josephine (Alaimo) Scicolone. Benny served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was life long communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Enfield. He had been employed with Bigelow Sanford of Thompsonville for 10 years and then Pratt Whitney, E. Hartford retiring in 1992 after 33 years. Besides his wife Maria, Benny is survived by his children Vincent Scicolone and wife Michelle and Michael Scicolone and wife Jennifer all of Enfield his grandchildren Miranda, Vincenzo, Emily, Lauren and Sarah Scicolone and a brother Angelo Scicolone of New York. Family and friends will gather Saturday August 23, 2008 by 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, for a procession to St. Patrick Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in the St. Patrick Pleasant St. Cemetery, Thompsonville.
