Bernard "Bernie" Cellillie 60 entered into the peace of God's infinite mercy on Friday October 26, 2007 at Hartford Hospital with his family at his side after a brief illness. Bernie was born in Springfield Massachusetts April 21, 1947, was raised in Chicopee MA, attended local schools in Chicopee, and was a graduate of American International College in Springfield. He was employed as the Director of accounts payable at the University of Connecticut, in Storrs Ct for the past ten years .Bernie served his county honorably with the United States Army during the Vietnam War .He was member of the Washington Irving Council #50 Knights of Columbus Enfield and a member of North Central Civitan. Bernie enjoyed music, sports, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle way, his sense of humor, and genuine friendship. Bernie is survived by his beloved wife of thirty five years Patricia (Bourque)<br>Cellillie, two daughters and sons' in-law, Kristen and David Clark of Old Lyme CT, Tracy and Adam Dunn of Enfield CT, and his grandson Lawson Thomas Dunn. Bernie also leaves his mother June (Freeman) Cellillie of Chicopee Ma., a sister and brother in-law Judy and Gene LaFleur of Springfield, Ma., a brother in-law and sister in-law Richard and Leslie Bourque of Broad Brook Ct, two brothers in-law Robert Bourque of Enfield and James Bourque of Palm Springs, CA and a niece and nephew Andrea and Dustin Bourque. He was predeceased by his father Bernard L. Cellillie, his father in-law and mother in-law Adrian and Shirley Bourque. Bernie will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his family, friends and Brother Knights at Council 50. Funeral services in celebration of Bernie's life will be held on Wednesday at 9:00am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield (Exit 48 off RT 91 RT 220 East 1 &1/4 miles) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00Am in St. Patrick's Church Pearl & High St. Thompsonville section of Enfield. Burial will be with military honors in Massachusetts State Veterans Cemetery Agawam Ma. Bernie's family will receive relatives and friend's at Browne Chapels on Tuesday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm Memorial's may be made to Palliative Medicine Consult Service Fund Hartford Hospital 80 Seymour Street Hartford CT 06102-5037.
