Bernard Otis Foote, Sr. of Enfield, beloved husband of Sandra Bolden Foote, entered into eternal rest Wednesday (2/14/07), after courageous battle with cancer, at St. Francis Hospital. Bernard was born in Hartford son of the late Wade & Edna (Cavitt) Foote attending Hartford Schools and Prince Technical School. Bernard was an Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 80 of Enfield, and a member of the Union Baptist Church of Hartford. Bernard's love of woodworking lead him to a long and distinguished career as a professional furniture finisher for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing tennis and fishing but his greatest joy was his two beautiful granddaughters Taylor and Jordyn. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 42 years, Sandra, his two sons; Bernard Otis Foote, Jr. of Ledyard and William Foote and his wife Mary of Enfield and his wonderful granddaughters Taylor and Jordyn Foote. Bernard is also survived by his brothers; Arthur Foote and his wife Emily of Enfield, Paul Foote and his wife Roberta of Windsor, his sisters; Gwendolyn Mosley and her husband Leslie of West Hartford, Edna Ritchie of Buffalo, NY, Ethel Harris of Due West, SC, two sisters-in-law, Inez Foote of Hartford and Valerie Bolden-Barrett of Bloomfield and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Wade Foote II. Bernard's family will receive relatives and friends Sunday (2/18/07) at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels from 2-6 pm. A service in celebration of Bernard's life will be held Monday 10: 00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Prescott officiating. Burial with military honors will follow the service in Hazardville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Hospital Cancer Center 94 Woodland St. Hartford, CT 06105
