Bernice Janarelli

Bernice G. Janarelli, 95, formerly of Hardwick Street, passed away Monday at her son Frank’s home in Enfield,CT. She was the wife of the late Lawrence M. Janarelli. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Schultz) Ryan. She resided in Cumberland for 51 years, recently residing in Lincoln, Massachusetts, and finally with her son in Connecticut. Mrs. Janarelli was employed as a Case Aid Worker for the State of Rhode Island for many years, retiring in 1979. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, where she was the former Treasurer for the Daughters of Isabella. She was a loving and caring person, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She leaves three sons, Michael L. Janarelli of San Christobal, NM, Bernard A. Janarelli of Yarmouth, ME, and Francis R. Janarelli of Enfield, CT; one daughter Clarinda M. O'Leary of Thompson, CT; ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Regis M. Antone, and sister of the late Frank Ryan and Charles Ryan. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 10 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in the St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling Hours will be held Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Concerned Women for America, 1015 Fifteenth St. N.W., Suite 1100, Washington, D.C. 20005 or St. Joseph Church, Prolife Committee, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield were in care of local arrangements
