Bertrand “Bert” J. Leclerc, 71, of Enfield, loving husband of Carole (Graves) Leclerc, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Topsham, Maine, he was the son of the late Raymond and Alfreda (Bourque) Leclerc. Prior to his retirement, Bertrand was employed for 49 years as a machinist with Colt Firearms of Hartford. He was an ardent fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN Huskies. Bertrand enjoyed trips to the casino, vacationing at the beach in Gloucester, MA and loved traveling with his family. Besides his wife Carole of 50 years, Bertrand is survived by his children, Paul J. Leclerc of Enfield and Michael D. Leclerc and wife Angela of Suffield; his grandchildren, Tori L. Leclerc, Niki T. Leclerc, Victoria M. Holmes and Gina R. Holmes; his brothers, Robert Leclerc and wife Antonia of Windsor, Gerard Leclerc of Springfield, MA, Russell Leclerc and wife Cathy of Colorado. He also leaves his brothers- in- law and sisters- in –law; Barbara Novotney and Arnold Graves both of Enfield, Cindy Andrews and husband Steve of Bennington, VT, Walter Graves and wife Donna of Wilbraham, MA, Douglas Graves and wife Elaine of Enfield, Sally Lane and Bill Reynolds of Norway, ME, Dana Lane and Donald Sayre both of Enfield along with many special nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Leclerc, Jr., father and mother-in-law, Edward and Leona Lane, brother-in-law Donald Novotney and sister-in-law Donna Sayre. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 with a procession forming at 9 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Martha Church, 214 Brainard Rd., Enfield. Burial will follow in Hazardville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 27, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Bertrand’s memory be made to the St. Francis Foundation Congestive Heart Failure Program 95 Woodland St. Hartford, CT 06015-9720.
