Beverly Jeanne (Paquette) Mathieu of Manchester, CT passed away peacefully on April 15 surrounded by her family. She was born in Hartford, CT on April 7, 1927 to Albert & Mary Brodeur Paquette. She grew up in Hartford and lived in Enfield, CT for many years. After graduating from Hartford Public High School in 1945, she worked in public relations for the Travelers Insurance Company for six years and the Institute of Living in Hartford for seven years. She was a communicant member of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow, MA and a member of the Women’s Club. Beverly leaves her loving husband Paul Mathieu of 58 years, a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne & Russell Miller of Enfield, CT, and a son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Janice Mathieu of Granby, MA. She was pre-deceased by a son, Mark. She also leaves two grandsons, Todd Falkowski and Kyle and his wife, Oriana Falkowski, a granddaughter, Stacie Mathieu, and four great-grandchildren: Diana, Gabrielle, Caleb & Benjamin. She also leaves a brother Richard Paquette of Boulder, CO and his wife June, and a sister, Mary Bertrand of Enfield, CT along with many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlake at Tolland Nursing Center for taking such tender care of Beverly during her final days and to the nurses at Davita Dialysis for their loving care for the last six years. Calling hours will be Monday, April 21, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels at 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow, MA on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:00 am. At the request of the family, a private burial will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 or to The National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation, PO Box 959, East Hampstead, NH 03826-0959 or to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
