Enfield, CT — Calvin S. Fowler, 89, died Tuesday January 17, 2017 peacefully at his home following an illness. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Simonne B. Fowler; his six children, Susan (Abel), Craig, Caren (Pheasant), Scott, Curt, and Steven, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; his sister Nelsann Kadick and many close friends. Born in Albany NY, the son of Nelson and Paula Fowler. He joined the US Navy, where he was a Seaman, First Class. He also worked at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford for 34 years. He retired in 1989 but not really, he volunteered at Little Sisters of the Poor in Enfield made Rosary beads and bracelets for 23 years and Parkway Pavilion for 22 years. Dad’s famous quotes “I don’t eat to Live I live to Eat” “I don’t make the time I just try to keep it” A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Martha’s Church, 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT on Saturday January 21st at 9:30 AM followed by military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to MasoniCare Partners Home Health & Hospice 11 Founders Plaza East Hartford, CT 06108.
