Ciro Zaccardi Obituary

Ciro G. Zaccardi, of East Windsor and formerly of Windsor Locks, entered into eternal rest at the age of 83 on Sunday November 20, 2011. Ciro was the beloved husband of 63 years to Marie B. (Smith) Zaccardi and son of the late Ciro and Angelina Zaccardi. He was born on May 17, 1928 in Jersey City, NJ and resided their most of his life. Ciro served his country honorable with the US Navy during WW II. He owned and operated his own auto repair business along with his sons for many years in New Jersey. In his younger days he was an avid bowler, he also enjoyed the horse races, playing cards, trips to the casinos and spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his wife Marie he is survived by a daughter Nancy M. Milbauer and husband Alan of Enfield, a son Gerard M. Zaccardi and wife Robin of Old Bridge, NJ and Ronald T. Zaccardi and wife Kathleen of Willington, his six grandchildren Joanne Colonna, Lisa Piepul, David Zaccardi, Daniel Zaccardi, Eric Zaccardi and Jessica Zaccardi, four step grandchildren Tiffany, Michelle, Adam & Megan and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Andrew Zaccardi of Springfield, VA and a sister Mary Savino of Palm Coast, FL and many nicecs, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Michael Zaccardi in March 2002, his brothers Larry, Anthony, Bill and Michael and his sisters Anna, Grace, Josephine, Lucy and Angela. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the VITAS Hopsice Program 628 Hebron Ave Ste. #300 Glastonbury, CT 06033-5018.
