Colin M. Murphy, passed from his earthly journey on Wednesday March 14, 2018. Colin was born on September 18, 1997 in Rockville, CT, the beloved son of Michael Murphy and Michelle (Normandin) Murphy. He was a lifelong resident of Enfield, attended local schools and was employed with Moe’s Southwest Grill. Colin loved music, his extensive sneaker collection, a NY Giants fan, loved hanging-out with his friends, had a great sense of humor, and he had a big heart especially for his cousin, Hannah. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his step-mother, Barbara Olson, of Enfield, brothers, Cyle Murphy and Tyler Murphy, step-brother, Rick Olson all of Enfield, step-sister, Amanda Olson of Tolland, his maternal grandmother, Diane Normandin of Enfield, his paternal grandmother, Piera Murphy of East Longmeadow, MA and paternal grandfather, Jere W. Murphy Sr. of Enfield, his uncles and aunts, Craig Normandin of Windsor, Shawn Normandin (Rhonda) of Adams, TN, Collette Goolsby (David) of Enfield, Dara Wood of Enfield, Nancy Eastwood (Mark) of Somers and John Murphy & Christine Sullivan of Drums, PA, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Armand Normandin and an uncle, Jere W. Murphy, Jr. Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Monday March 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Burial will be at the convenience of family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, 126 Monroe Turnpike, Trumbull, CT 06611.
