Deborah "Deb" Mylek

Deborah “Deb”J. (Barrows) Mylek, wife of the late Louis C. Mylek, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT. Born May 11, 1953 in Stafford Springs, CT Deborah was the daughter of Appleton A. Barrows and the late Lora (Weirs) Barrows. A resident of Enfield for 37 years, she was employed with the Town of Enfield in the Office of Community Development. She was a follower of the Japanese art of healing, Reikki. Deborah loved her dog Rush, horses and Hawaii. She is survived by her father Appleton A. Barrows, of Ashford, CT; her brother Edward W. Barrows of Stafford Springs, CT and sister her Jean Stainsberry of Ashford, CT. Deborah was predeceased by her fiancé Joseph Essetman. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday (Aug. 24,) from 2 to 5 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Memorial & Remembrance Service with Pastor Barry Andrusik officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd. Newington, CT 06111.
