Delia (Villeneuve) Langlois, 94, of Enfield entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare, Enfield. She was the widow of Edgar R. Langlois, Sr. Delia was born on October 9, 1913 in Manchester, NH, a daughter of the late Peter and Azilda (Lavoie) Villeneuve and had resided in Enfield for the past 64 years and in Bedford, NH before that. She was a graduate of Bedford NH Elementary School. Delia retired from Wallace Mfg. Co. after many years of service. She was a member of the Enfield Senior Citizens and 25 year member of the Golden Ages Club, she was an avid bingo player and especially enjoyed time spent with her loving family. Delia is survived by a daughter, Leona Lessard and her husband, Edward of E. Longmeadow, MA, a son, Edgar Langlois, Jr. of Saugus, MA, a daughter, Doris Watson and her husband, Lawrence of Dobson, NC, a son, Roger Langlois and his wife, AnnMarie of Enfield, a special daughter-in-law, Sheila Desmarais, Enfield, a son-in-law, Ralph Berry, her eleven beloved grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Langlois, a daughter, Claire Berry and a grandson, Adam Langlois, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services in celebration of Delia's life will be held on Thursday Feb. 28, 2008 at 9am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Martha's Church, Enfield. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Delia's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Feb. 27 from 5 to 8pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Martha's Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT 06082 or the charity of the donor's choice.
