Denise (Arel) Ambrosini, 75, beloved wife of Donald, was called home to God on September 25, 2017. She was born in Claremont, NH to the late Lucien and Irene (Lacasse) Arel, and moved to CT in 1961 where she worked for Mass Mutual and later as an Administrative Assistant to the CEO of WordCom in Ellington until her retirement in 2000. Denise enjoyed reading and traveling. Many of her trips helped create wonderful memories when family gathered for vacations, holidays and special occasions. Her passion was volunteering through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Denise held the position of treasurer and also worked tirelessly with others, organizing the distribution of food and other necessities to families. She graciously gave of herself not only to the mission of the society but also to her many relatives and friends. Her kind, caring, selfless nature will be greatly missed by all friends and family. She touched the hearts of many. Denise is survived by her loving husband, Donald, of 41 years; two sisters, Louise Stemplewicz (Gerard) of Glenside, PA; Jean Belcher (Steve) of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister-in-law, Linda Arel of Columbus, GA; and a sister-in-law, Jean Devine (Jim) of Enfield, CT as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her brother, Lucien, in 2010. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, CT 06082.
