Denise L. (McCune) Hood, 55, of Enfield died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family Wednesday (September 12, 2012). Born on Sept. 4, 1957 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of John McCune and the late Rolene Chagnon and had lived in Enfield most of her life. Prior to becoming ill, Denise was a caring and compassionate Health Care Provider with the State of MA. Her compassion and love extended to the many animals in her life. Denise is survived by her children, Christopher Brackoneski of MD, Keri Brackoneski of CA and Kimberlee Benjamin of Enfield, her three beloved grandchildren, Andrew Brackoneski, Aiden Wells and Ava Brackoneski. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna Hackett of FL, Deborah McCune of Enfield, Darlene Wright of Broad Brook, Dianna Batchelder of Enfield, Marjorie McCune, Catherine McCune and Tamela McCune all of CA, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by Arlene Chagnon and Leo Chagnon. Denise’s family is happy to know that she is at peace with her faithful companion, JoJo. A graveside service for Denise will be held on Monday (Sept. 17, 2012) at 12 p.m. (noon) in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
