Dianne M. Plopper 71, entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2021 after a strong and brave battle with cancer. Born on April 3, 1949 in New Haven CT, she was the daughter of the late Jean Downey and Michael LeRoy. Dianne was a former resident of East Longmeadow and Springfield MA and recently re-located back to her hometown of Enfield CT where she graduated from Enfield High School class of 1968. Dianne retired from Babson Capital of Mass Mutual as an investment analyst and made many lifelong friends she treasured while there. Dianne was a true believer in prayer and had a strong faith in the patron St. Jude. She enjoyed vacationing many summers with her grandson and daughter in Orleans and Wellfleet MA and cherished visiting her sisters in North Carolina. She valued time with her family and taking day trips shopping and antiquing with her daughters often. Known for having a caring and kind heart, Dianne remained effortlessly positive during the most challenging times of her illness. She devoted much of her time to her beloved grandson Brian who share many years of loving memories together. Dianne leaves behind her two precious daughters Lisa Belcher and husband Brian of Somers CT and Julie Lavallee and husband Rene of Durham CT, her grandson Brian Belcher of Somers CT, her four sisters she held dear to her heart, Georgeanne Smith of Leland NC, Peggy Hoffman of Leland NC, Jane Soule of Enfield CT, Michelle Barone of FL, two loving brothers Michael LeRoy of Enfield CT and Sean LeRoy of East Longmeadow MA as well as numerous nieces, a nephew, cousins Kathleen and Denise and countless friends. Dianne will be laid to rest at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Enfield CT, a mass will be celebrated privately at St. Bernard Church in Enfield. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the American Lung Association.
