Donna Kathleen Dufour passed into the arms of our Lord on September 16th, 2013 as she was surrounded by her loving family, in her mother’s home. She was born 62 years ago to Donald and Lillian Dufour. She was employed by Pratt and Whitney for many years before retiring to Fort Myers, Florida. She is predeceased by her father, Don Dufour and is survived by her mother, Lillian Dufour, her brother Marc and his wife Sandy, of Celebration, Florida, her brother Paul and his wife Donna, of Enfield, CT and her sister Helen Worton and her partner Chuck Latkofsky, of Enfield, CT. She also leaves behind four nieces and four nephews, three great nieces and seven great nephews. Donna was always the “fun” aunt, with a wonderful sense of humor, who held her God-Children, Michael and Lindsey Worton, in a special place in her heart. There will be no calling hours or memorial service per request of Donna. She wanted to be remembered by this passage: Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the same easy way you always have. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it always was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well, nothing is past. Nothing has been lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before-only better. Infinitely happier, we will be one, together forever. (Author unkown).
